WW—Vampires Aren't Just for Halloween
Thanks to those of you that commented on yesterday's post I Am the Next Stephenie Meyer. You have helped me see that perhaps I will follow in her footsteps. If you didn't get the chance to weigh in on the decision, feel free to make your opinion known by commenting on that post.
Since the topic was so popular, I thought I'd post a teaser trailer and some pics for WW to get everyone in the mood for the Twilight movie release in November. For more WW posts, visit Angie at SevenClownCircus.
Twilight
So... Exited to see the movie? How do you feel about falling in love with a vampire?
September 24, 2008 at 1:32 AM
I don't know about this movie but I like vampire movies. Happy WW! :)
September 24, 2008 at 6:21 AM
I will so be there, prolly wearing vamp teeth.
September 24, 2008 at 6:29 AM
I don't know anything about this Twilight. I've never read one of the books and I hadn't even heard about it until recently. I have to say, though, I'm pretty suggestible because even my clueless self is getting swept up in the excitement. :)
September 24, 2008 at 7:08 AM
Love Love LOVE these books - although I don' think that boy who is in the film is cute/pretty enough to be Edward. PLUS, I want her to pick Jacob!!!!!
September 24, 2008 at 7:16 AM
I am so excited to see this movie! I have a feeling it will be sold out here as there is a large mass of us going on open day!
September 24, 2008 at 7:28 AM
OH I am so excited for the movie. I really really need to finish the last book but I am kinda burnt out. I will have get back there.
September 24, 2008 at 7:46 AM
I hafta be honest i just recently heard of this series and am looking forward to reading the books
September 24, 2008 at 7:52 AM
I loved your post yesterday...I got a kick out of it. I'm looking forward to the movie. I just wish they had picked someone more attractive to play Edward! LOL
September 24, 2008 at 8:03 AM
I am oh so excited to see the movie and sooooo close to finishing the last book. :)
September 24, 2008 at 9:29 AM
I JUST got into these after catching the fever of a few ladies here in the blogosphere. 3 weeks later, I am not halfway through the last book. Love 'em, love 'em, love 'em.
September 24, 2008 at 9:35 AM
I'm excited to see the movie...although I'm with T&T...I don't know if that actor works for Edward for me!
September 24, 2008 at 9:53 AM
I am married to one. Just kidding.
Or am I?
September 24, 2008 at 10:04 AM
Jyl, I'm afraid you have it backwards. You are not the next Stephenie Meyer--SHE is the next Jyl Johnson Pattee!
And I'll have you know I've been reading your blog every day, and my thighs are still puckered and flabby. What am I doing wrong? :-)
September 24, 2008 at 11:15 AM
I can't wait for this movie to come out!
September 24, 2008 at 11:26 AM
Hmmm...I don't know that vampires are for me. Although, with all the blogs I've seen the series on, I may have to rethink my position.
September 24, 2008 at 1:03 PM
Oh man. What am I going to do until December!?! I haven't read any of the books, but everyone keeps raving about them. I am thoroughly intrigued.
September 24, 2008 at 1:27 PM
Oooooh Vampires! Scary, yet cool stuff! Yes, I am looking forward to the movie! Happy WW!
September 24, 2008 at 1:41 PM
Well, I was totally in love with Angel on the Buffy series, so I guess I don't have a problem with it. :o)
September 24, 2008 at 1:52 PM
i am so lost that it isn't even funny...but this has to be a twilight thing! i'll ask my kiddo who is sooo into it!
September 24, 2008 at 1:56 PM
I dont' like the characters they chose.
I forgot to come by today. you told me too much about it in advance! ha!
September 24, 2008 at 2:04 PM
I wouldn't mind being nibbled on by a vampire...mmmm that pasty skin..JK...however I do want to see the movie after reading the books..I'm glad they have actors in it that are not well known.
September 24, 2008 at 2:32 PM
Wow, I've really got to read this series one of these days.
September 24, 2008 at 2:46 PM
hello, i just got your comment on my blog! of course you can quote my quote.
:)
glad you enjoyed it.
i wasn't sure what led you to think i was pursuing writing. i would not even dare try, as i pale in comparison to the writing of many of my friends.
but i do like the opportunity that blogging affords for writing a little bit. that much i can handle.
:)
i'm glad you stopped by and enjoyed the picture and quote. i look forward to checking out what you write about your grandmother.
good luck with the graphic design! it's fun stuff! do you ever post any of your design?
September 24, 2008 at 2:57 PM
I say a whole bunch of us blogger friends get together ant have a girl's night to go see this movie. Sounds awesome huh?
September 24, 2008 at 3:37 PM
I am so super excited to see the movie (even though I don't have HIGH HOPES that it will be even remotely as good as the book)...I'm sure there will be crazy-vampire-love posts everywhere after the movie though! LOL
September 24, 2008 at 3:54 PM
I'm going to be looking for you in the background in this movie...I just know you're in it. lol
~melody~

Your post from yesterday is beyond brilliant! We love the Twilight books around here. My 10 year old is about half way through "New Moon" - and I cannot wait to go see the movie with her.
Now, what gets kinda "scary" is that she likes to do google image searches on Edward. And sends me emails with them attached. With subject lines like "Edward Cullen looks good." Yep, 10 year old and 38 year old crushing over Edward :-)
(thanks for coming by my blog today! Nice to meet you.)
September 24, 2008 at 6:17 PM
I wish you could come too! How fun that would be; I have a feeling you would be cracking me up all night!
I have friends here that are die hard Twilight fans and are irritated with me as I still don't have the series read. I do like it but just didn't get the hype of the series but the movie looks good! The more I read the more I love the characters though!
September 24, 2008 at 7:15 PM
I haven't read the books yet, but they are on my list of musts! My dinky library only has one copy...wait list...and I'm too cheap to buy books!!
September 24, 2008 at 7:21 PM
I have seen the Twilight stuff everywhere!!! I'm so going to have to check it out!
It's my first time to your blog and i love your "juicy tidbit" up top...very cute!
September 24, 2008 at 7:41 PM
Yeah but you have more comments...
I can't find the time to get back to all the GNO chicks! Much less the others on the ww list(s) (cheater)
I see Angie hasn't come by??
September 24, 2008 at 7:49 PM
Umm...I think I may be the only one in America that really didn't enjoy the books...ack! Did I type that out loud?! I'll take a good Jane Austen any day over the vampires.
Therefore, I'm not looking forward to the movie, not even planning on seeing it. (Whoa, I typed that out loud too, didn't I?)
I guess I should stop now, before everyone blocks my ISP....don't disown me, okay?
September 24, 2008 at 7:57 PM
I just got done reading the 4 books and am now waiting for the 5th! I can't wait to see the movie, and heck I think I would marry a vampire if he was anything like Edward!
HA HA HA
September 24, 2008 at 8:02 PM
Don't read the books myself, just not my thing. But I have to say that is one good looking vamp.
September 24, 2008 at 8:20 PM
I saw a comment of yours on another blog. You mentioned Stephenie Meyer so, of course, I had to check you out. My daughter and I both love the series. We Can.Not. wait for the movie to come out in a couple of months.
September 24, 2008 at 8:32 PM
I would fall in love with the vampire for sure!
September 24, 2008 at 8:40 PM
I sure hope the movie lives up to our expectations. It kind of frightens me!!! Love your list..very creative. I love these books! Fun story..one of my friends who just read the books has a husband named Edward Kenneth. She has always called him Ken until ...now...the night she finished book four she said, "Good night Edward" he said..What, you've never called me that! She said...read the book!!
September 24, 2008 at 9:29 PM
Looks a little creepy. I can't wait to start reading the books. :)
September 24, 2008 at 9:32 PM
I haven't read these books, but even so -- I don't think I would want to fall in love with a vampire. What if things didn't work out? It's not like he's going anywhere and you definitely wouldn't want to get on his bad side.
Thanks for stopping by my blog :o).
September 24, 2008 at 11:02 PM
thanks for stopping by my blog! and yes, you may use the hummingbird photos. I'm really flattered. (hubby has a great camera, and I've been obsessed with the hummingbird drama in my backyard - I've written several posts about them - so last week decided to go and and play with the camera!)
And Twilight? My husband LOVES vampires, so I'll probably be seeing the movie.
September 24, 2008 at 11:11 PM
I am so there!
September 24, 2008 at 11:33 PM
I am close to finishing Breaking Dawn..can't wait for the movie!
September 24, 2008 at 11:39 PM
You ARE Stephanie Meyers, only much cuter! Thanks for the sweet birthday wishes and ya know I am dyin' to know what happened 15 years ago. Talk to me, I am a nurse...
September 25, 2008 at 12:48 AM
Howdy! Thanks for stopping by! Wana meet for a spa day? lol
September 25, 2008 at 12:48 AM
I feel SO out of it...everyone is talking about those books...I just have NO desire whatsoever.
I get to read Highlights with my 8yr old sometimes (if I'm real *cough* lucky) . My current favorite is "Goofus and Gallant"...Ooooo, a movie would be sweeeeet*!*
September 25, 2008 at 3:38 AM
I added to the vampire theme you began over at my place. "Vampires Shampires?" I linked you, is what I'm trying to say. : )
September 25, 2008 at 5:28 AM
I fell in love with Anne Rice's Vampires years ago... but they've got nothing of The Cullens. Oh. My.
September 25, 2008 at 6:23 AM
I'm already in love with a vampire-- I wrote a post about this saga when my clueless self finally discovered it (you know, the whole series as the fourth book was coming out-- completely under a rock, I am). I couldn't put it down. I read all four in 5-6 days. Did you know that kids are pretty resilient? They can live without food for nearly a week. :-)
And yes, I agree you are the next SM!
September 25, 2008 at 3:39 PM
I'm nervous because I have high expectations for this flick. I mean, these actors have big shoes to fill!
September 25, 2008 at 5:13 PM
I am so excited for this movie!! I always wished I was a vampire...
:)
LOVEYOU&&we better go and see this together.
September 26, 2008 at 12:16 AM
Thanks for visiting my blog! I LOVE Lula's blog!
Oh my... posting Twilight pics on your blog? We must become friends! (you might want to check out my Friday post for some Twilight mention!)
September 26, 2008 at 2:20 PM
I think YOU should write your own series...really!! I'm not feelin' the whole falling in love with a vampire thing...I don't know. I never really loved Jacob either. She should have just moved back to AZ or Florida with her mom. But that wouldn't have been an exciting book, now would it?!!!
September 28, 2008 at 7:15 AM
I knew you had to be friends with Lula.
October 7, 2008 at 3:03 AM
Considering I just did fall in love with a vampire (I'm just now finishing New Moon)...yeah, I'm pretty OK with it. Can't wait for the movie!
