I Am Thankful for... My Sisters!
I am the oldest of six children. My favorite part of that? Having three sisters. The four of us span three decades and are very different in terms of our styles, our religious and political persuasions, our fields of studies and careers, and our basic makeup—our personality types, our characteristics, our talents, etc. Still, we are bound by blood, tradition, and fun. I say fun, because we love to laugh together. And, it is in those moments that we are identical. I should take this moment to apologize to all of the passengers on the plane we rode with on the way to our sister's vacation. We really didn't mean to laugh that loud and talk incessantly. What's a sister to do?

That was so sweet Jyl! I only have one sister and I think it is awesome although I didn't appreciate her until we were adults.

I have a sister too and I don't know what I would do without her! I love reading all of your Thankful For posts. It really is a great time to count all of your blessings.

I have a brother, he's 2 years older than me. I guess he's kinda cool.

I feel much the same way about my 3 sisters. We are 20 and 14 years apart, me being the youngest. I love them dearly.

I agree! I have one younger sister and one younger brother and I'm so thankful! My sister and I have grown closer as we've gotten older and she's the BEST aunt! It's wonderful to have an extended family!

I love these photos of all the girls, with bits of your children! They are really good of everyone! Did Melinda's guy take them?

I'm very thankful for my sister, too! We had a rough first...oh, say, 20 years! But, they were so worth it!

I don't have a sister. I always wanted one :-) I keep trying to tell my girls how lucky they are. But most of the time they are not buying it!

What a wonderful thing to be thankful for! My sister and I are pretty different too, but I think that's why we are such great friends.

OMG,
I am so thankful for this post. I am the oldest of 3 sisters and it wasn't until my younger sister got married and tried to start a WAHM biz that I started to rebuild our relationship.
I am so thankful that I am a young, hot, sexy mommy with sisters that love me (by way of blood and my social network).
Keep up the good work and lets connect. I'm at www.thecocktailcafe.com

Great post Jyl!!
I have three sisters - 2 older & 1 younger than myself and when we all get together it's a yammerfest! My younger sister & I being closer in age are especially bad. We will laugh for hours at the silliest things.
Thanks for sharing,
Ciao

You're so lucky. I always wanted a sister (I have 3 older brothers). I am fortunate enough to have 2 cousins that are like my sisters though and it's such a special relationship.
That's a great photo! : )
